Four J’s and a Comic Episode 011 Captain America in Dimension Z!
In this week's podcast, the four J's discuss the first ten issues of Rick Remender and John Romita Jr's Captain America run. The podcast digressed to an explanation of Marvel time and worrying that Stan Lee may have been replaced by a Life Model Decoy. Once the podcast came back on track, the four J's talked how Remender turned Captain America on its head by channeling the best of mid 70's Jack Kirby crazy ideas. Did the four J's enjoy this change of status quo? Find out by clicking the play button!

Four J’s and a Comic Episode 010 Greetings from Astro City
After discussing of Kurt Busiek's and Alex Ross' graphic novel Marvels on their last podcast, the four J's move on to Astro City. Thematically similar to Marvels, for Astro City Busiek added Brett Anderson as the series artist while Alex Ross stayed on to provide character designs and covers. In this podcast, the four J's discuss the first volume of Astro City subtitled Life in the Big City which introduces readers to the world of Astro City with six short stories. Reviewed next is volume 3, subtitled Confession. Confession was the first Astro City novel and followed a young man's journey to become a hero in Astro City. Rereading this book, it is uncanny how much of Marvel Comics Civil War and Secret Invasion events mirrored subplots in Confession. Busiek won an Eisner award for best writer for his work on Astro City, and we higly recomend that you give these books a read.
